Labdien, milie vecaki un skolotaji.
Musu skolas ikdiena jau sak ritet aizvien raitak un
raitak. Jauki atkal redzet musu skolas kuplo pulku, kopa
mums skola ir 32 berni. Jauki vai ne!
27. septembri skolas diena saksies 9:oo no rita un ilgs
lidz 12:30.
Bernudarzam skolas diena beidzas pec azaida.
Lielajiem pec azaida izdalisim lomas, saksim tas
parrunat, parlasit.
Amelijas vecmamina, Inta ir ar mieru palidzet pie lugas
tekstu macisanas.
Ceru, ka visi parrunaja un parakstija solijumus, mums
butu jaatgadina musu berniem, ka tos vajag censties
ieverot.
Paldies visiem skolotajiem par lielo uznemsanos macit,
sagatavot, atbalstit, slavet un noteikti milet un
nezelot milestibu macot musu skolenus.
Lai mums visiem jauka nedelas nogale!!

Hello all the Parents and teachers!
Our school year started to move forward pretty
smooth.
Its nice to see our school together in such a big group,
we have 32 students. That's so nice!!!
September, 27th the school day will start at 9am and
we will be out at 12:30pm.
The early preschool class will be done after meal/snack.
After snack rest of the school will receive their parts
for play with there lines.
Inta, Amelijas grandmother will help the children with
their parts/lines.
I hope that all had time to read and sign the "solijums".
We hope that you will remind the children to follow the
rules.
Thanks to all the teachers for taking responsibility
to teach, prepare, support, honer,praise , love and for
teaching with love our children.
I hope we will have very nice day at school!

Azaida un dezurants sarakts ir gatavs. Visiem vecakiem
ir vismaz divas reizes japiesakas butu atbildigiem
azaidam un dezuret. Ja kads pierakstas un nevar
piepildit pienakumu taja sestdiena, tad jaatrod
atvietotaju.
Sogad mums kadam bernam ir alergija prêt auzam
un ogam (bet ne vinogam).
Azaids ir pulkstens 11:45. Azaida pienakumi ir salikt
edienu un sulu, lai berni varetu est liela telpa.
Mazajiem berniem butu velams ieliet sulu, lai skolotaja
varetu aizvest uz klasi. Ja vajaga edienu uzsildit
krasni, ludzu meginiet panemt pannas pec lugsanas, lai
netraucetu klasi. Vecakam ari ir japalidz izdalit edienu
ta lai visiem berniem pietiktu. Vecakam ari ir trauku
janomazga un janoleik. Ludzu ari palidzi dezurantam
liela telpa.
Dezurants, palidz vecakam kas gada par azaidu ja
vajaga. Dezurants uztura kartibu liela telpa, ierada pie
kuriem galdiem berni sez ( pirmiem diviem/trim galdiem)
ta lai berni nesez pa visu telpu. Dezuranti ietura
kartibu lai berni nesviez edienu, padaudz netrako, un
lai visi runatu latviski. Pec azaida, dezurants notira
galdus, kreslus, satira gridu, un sakarto telpu.
Ir visiem vecakiem pienakums atgadinat berniem ka mes
skola runajam latviski, un palidzesim berniem ja kads
vards aizkeras.
Sogad mus skolas diena bus pagarinata. Skolas diena
saksies pulkstens 9:00 un beigsies pulkstens 12:40. Tas
dos visiem skolotajiem vairak laiku macities, ka ari
berniem dejot vai iestudet lugas.

Vecakiem bija izdalilts vecaku solijums. Galvenie
punkti : runat latviski majas ar berniem, lasit latviski,
skolas atgadinat ka jaruna latviski. Mums ari bus
solijums nakoss reizi, tiem vecakiem kuri nebija sede.
Visiem berniem bus vaki. Tajos bus skolas kalendars,
majas darbi, vieta lai vecaki var parakstit ka majas
darbi ir izpilditi, un vecaku solijums
Ja berns netiek uz skolu, tad japazino klases
skolotajam.
Skolas macibas maksa bus paagustinats. Tie berni kuri
pieder Mpls. St.Paula Latviesu Ev. Lut. Baznicai bus
druscin atlaida. Lailai bus informacija nakoss sestdien.
Skoleniem ari zinamas svetdienas (18. nov., skolas
eglite, draudzigam aicinajumam, Pupola svetdiena,
gimenes diena, 14. junijs) bus japiedalas dievkalpojuma,
sedet pie galdina , vai piedalities cita veida (dziedat,
spelet).
Pirmie lielie bernu sarikojumi bus Martini, 1.
novembri un Ziemassvetku eglite, svetdien 14. decembri.
Vecaku sedes bus katra Menesa otra sestdiena pec
zinojumiem. Nakosa sede bus 11. oktobri.
Novelu visiem labu gadu stradat kopa.

The snack
sign up sheet with the clean up helper is ready and
posted at the schools bulletin board. Parents are asked
to sign up for snack and clean up at least twice
throughout the year. If you are a parent with two to
three children, please sign up maybe three times. If you
have signed up and will not be at Latvian School that
day, you are required to find your own replacement.
Parents can be contacted by email (see sender list in
address bar) or via the telephone.
Please note: this year we have students with
food allergies. NO OATS and NO BERRIES. Grapes are okay.
This year snack time will be at 11:45.
Responsibilities are to have the snack ready and juices
poured by 11:45. If you need help, please ask the
assistance of the person who is helping (dezure). If you
need to bake anything, please get pans from the store
room before classes begin to not disturb the class in
session. Pour juices for the pre-schoolers and place
them on a tray for the teacher to pick up. Monitor the
amount of food a student takes, if needed. Wash all
dishes, dry them and return them where they were.
The helper will monitor to make sure students sit at
the first two to three tables in the hall. Sitting
throughout the hall is not permitted. Other
responsibilities are to be sure students do not
misbehave too much, and that they are speaking Latvian.
After snack is over, the helper wipes down the tables
where students sit, wipe down chairs (from crumbs),
sweep the floor, mop if anything was spilled, and
straighten up the hall.
A note for all parents: if you are socializing,
please be sure to encourage students to speak Latvian
and help them if they forget any words.
This year our school day will be longer. We will
start the day at 9:00 and end at 12:40. This will give
more time for teachers to teach, and more time for folk
dancing and rehearsal for plays.
This year school tuition will be raised. Those who
are members of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Latvian Ev. Luth.
Church will have a decreased tuition. Laila should have
the details next Saturday.

snack and helper list and other information.
A copy of the parent agreement was passed out every
parent. The agreement states that as parents we will
speak to our child/ren Latvian at home, read to them in
Latvian, and encourage them to speak with you in
Latvian. We will have agreements for all parents if
someone missed the meeting this Saturday.
Every student will be given a folder. In the folder
will be a copy of the parent agreement, schools
calendar, homework assignments. Parents should sign off
that homework has been completed. If a child will not be
at school, please contact your teacher as soon as
possible.
Throughout the year the children will be asked to
participate at Sunday church services. These would be
Latvias Independence Day, November 18, (this year Nov.
16th), Christmas celebration, School Open House, Palm
Sunday, Mothers Day, and 14. June commemoration.
Children may be greeters or they may be asked to
participate in the service.
Our first big celebrations where we need all parents
cooperation will be Martini, November 1st, and the
Christmas celebration on December 14.
Parent meetings will be held every month on the
second Saturday. The next meeting will be October 11.

Labdien, milie berni, vecaki, skolotaji!!!
Ceru, ka visiem bija jauka, saulaina, aizraujosa
vasara. Man un manam delam, Paulitim bija iespeja
pavadit divus menesus Latvija. Ceram, ka varesim
izveidot pecpusdienu, kur varesim dalities ar brauciena
iespaidiem. Ceru, ka atvestas macibu un bibliotekas
gramatas jums noderes.

Hi,
children, Parents, teachers!!!
I hope you all did enjoy the summer fun, nice warm
days and all kind of activities. Me and my son, Pauls
went to Latvia for two months. We hope to be able to
share all the experience about the trip in one
afternoon. I hope all the books will work great for you
all.
the school year will begin with some changes:
- longer school day, till 12:30
- new teachers
- raise of school tuition
- the use of behavior agreement
- the use of Parents agreement
- the monthly celebration of birthdays and name
days
